Seeking experienced professional to manage organizational operations, fundraising, marketing and member services for the Shelburne Falls Area Business Association (SFABA)
Implement community and economic development projects with the towns of Buckland and Shelburne through the Shelburne Falls Village Partnership.
Requires organization building skills, grant writing ability, personal diplomacy, excellent computer, internet and writing skills and an ability to efficiently manage multiple projects.
Non-profit management and budgeting, small business, municipalities and community development experience required.
Full-time salaried position. Starting salary commensurate with experience. Total compensation package range $35K - $45K

Director Job Description
The Director of the Shelburne Falls Area Business Association (SFABA) works with and is responsible to its Board of Directors. In conjunction with the Board, the Director is accountable for charting the long term strategic direction of the Association to ensure its continued viability. In addition, the Director manages the daily activities of the organization in order to accomplish its mission, and maintains the integrity and financial well being of the organization to achieve its goals. The Association is responsible to its members, and the Director promotes member satisfaction through measured results. The Director is self motivated and works with a minimum of oversight.

The Director is responsible for maintaining the Association membership at a level that will ensure the continued viability of the SFABA by:
Web Site and Communications Technology
The Director utilizes the Web site and other communications technologies as critical tools for managing the Association and communicating with members, the community and the world by:
Marketing and Tourism
The Director works with regional and state agencies and the Marketing Committee to promote the Shelburne Falls and West County Area within the region, as well as nationally and internationally through a variety of efforts designed to bring attention, and customers, to the area in a manner consistent with the values of the community. This includes but is not limited to:
Budgeting and Finance
Through the Executive Committee and Finance Committee, and with the assistance of the Bookkeeper, The Director is responsible for developing and managing the budget, monitoring and reporting the SFABA’s financial condition, including but not limited to:
Fundraising
The Director oversees and coordinates fundraising of various types to meet the organization’s goals through events, retail sales, grants etc. The Director’s involvement in each project varies as directed by the Board of Directors, and includes but is not limited to:
Shelburne Falls Village Partnership
The Director participates in quarterly Partnership meetings with Buckland and Shelburne Selectmen and the SFABA Board, develops and implements Partnership projects, researches and pursues funding options, writes the Partnership report for the Buckland and Shelburne Town Reports, reports to SFABA Board on Partnership project status, develops and submits project proposals to funding sources, and applies for the annual funding request to Towns to continue the Partnership.
This is an exempt position, and the Director may be required to work evenings and weekends outside the normal work week to fulfill the requirements of the position.
